‘RHONJ’ Star Margaret Josephs Shows Us How to Master the ‘Mob Wife’ Makeup Trend

The “mob wives” trend is taking over TikTok, with many social media users reaching for furs, animal prints, loud logos and even more garish lip colors lately.

And lifelong Jersey girl Margaret Josephs knows how to master the viral aesthetic.

“I can’t believe this whole ‘mafia wife’ thing is trending, because I never thought it would happen. This is what I always looked like! ” the “RHONJ” star tells Page Six Style.

But for those new to the world of smoky eyes and statement lashes, don’t worry; Josephs sat down with us to show us how she achieves her “old-school, sophisticated boss look” from start to finish, using products from Laura Geller.

Below, find out how to achieve her “Sopranos”-style glam at home — and remember, practice makes perfect.

After all, as Josephs says, “Mob wives are pretty perfect.” If they’re not perfect, don’t tell them, they’ll be mad. You don’t want to piss us off.

Step 1: “Turn on the shine”

“I have to have that glow, because mafia women love a little tan. You don’t want to look pale,” Josephs says as she applies the brand’s Double Take Liquid Foundation ($38). “You always need that beautiful Italian glow.”

Next, she applies Ideal Fix Concealer ($26), letting the “nice and creamy” formula do double duty as a highlighter.

“I like to look a little bright under the eyes; “Most mafia women aren’t that young,” she jokes.

Next, Josephs contours her hairline, cheeks, and jawline using the Italian Marble Bronzer Stick ($34), joking that she doesn’t tackle the latter area: “My jawline is rather torn because I had a facelift.”

Step 2: “We love smokey eyes”

“It’s strong, it’s s*xy, it’s dark, it’s mysterious,” Josephs says of her must-have look, created using the Ultimate Baked Eyeshadow Palette (~~$49~~ $29).

She recommends starting with a “pale base,” then building from there, using darker shades to add drama before lining under her eyes with Kajal Longwear Eyeliner ($22) and ” to smoke it “.

Finally, before and after putting on her lashes, Josephs adds a coat of Kajal Longwear Mascara ($24).

Step 3: “I don’t know if you can look too tan”

Next, Josephs accentuates her cheeks — first with Baked Bronze-n-Brighten Versatile Bronzer ($36), then with Serum Blush Cheek Tint ($28), the latter sprinkled only on the upper cheek. (“You’re not putting down blushing. I hate it,” she a*serts.)

She tops it off with Baked Natural Glow Highlighter ($24) on her cheekbones and the tip of her nose.

“It’s important to look tanned and glowing,” she says.

Step 4: “Nice and Lined” Lip

Josephs finishes her beauty look by lining her lips with Modern Cla*sic Waterproof Lip Pencil ($19).

“I don’t go to the corner, because I don’t want to lower my lips [as a] woman of a certain age,” she said. “And I’m not going to say how old that is!”

A coat of Modern Cla*sic Matte Lipstick ($21) tops it off — and now you’re ready to grab your fur coat, jewelry, and sungla*ses and go about your business.

Remember, when it comes to the right “mafia wife” style, it’s all about attitude.

“A mob wife, on the inside, is someone who has a lot of confidence, who can own a room and who can just wake up and enjoy the day,” Josephs says. “Kill him, ladies!” »
