Alyssa Milano breaks her silence on Shannon Doherty’s death at 53 after ‘Charmed’ feud

Alyssa Milano paid tribute to Shannen Doherty following the latter’s death.

“It’s no secret that Shannon and I had a complicated relationship, but at the core of it was a person I deeply respected and admired,” Milano, 51, said of her “Charmed” co-star in a statement to the Sunday Post.

“She was a talented actress, loved by many and the world is no less without her. My condolences to those who loved him,” the statement added.

Doherty died Saturday after a year-long battle with breast cancer. He was 53.

Her publicist, Leslie Sloane, shared the news in a statement to People on Sunday.

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the death of actress Shannen Doherty,” Sloane said. “The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog Bowie. The family wants their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”

Doherty, Milano and Holly Marie Combs star in “Charmed.”

The show, about a trio of sisters who are witches, aired on The WB (now The CW) from 1998 to 2006.

Doherty left the series after season 3 and was replaced by Rose McGowan.

In December, Combs, 50, claimed that Milano fired Doherty from “Charmed.”

“We said [by Alyssa] It’s her or [Shannen] And Alyssa threatened to sue us for a hostile work environment,’” Combs recalled telling producer Jonathan Levine on Doherty’s podcast about Doherty’s firing in the early 2000s.

Additionally, Doherty claims that Milano and her mother, Lynn, prevented her from visiting Combs in the hospital after the tumor was removed from her uterus.

Milano’s mother has denied the duo’s claims.

“Who’s the boss?” The star addressed the allegations at a “Charmed” panel at MegaCon Orlando in February.

“I’ll just say I’m sorry,” Milano said. “I don’t think I’m really sorry for me or my life or how it does or doesn’t affect my life,”
