Andy Cohen Reveals Why He Said Snooki Would Never Join ‘RHONJ’: ‘I’m Going Too Far’

If you’re hoping to see Bravo superfan Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi join the cast of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” one day, don’t hold your breath.

Andy Cohen explained why we’ll probably never see the ‘Jersey Shore’ queen holding a diamond, as they settled their apparent ‘feud’ on Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM radio show ‘Andy Cohen Live’.

The couple’s “public war” began last year when Cohen said he wouldn’t cast Snooki on “RHONJ.”

“You were just a little sarcastic so I had to come back,” she explained.

“I said, ‘I don’t see it.’ Right. I was like, ‘I don’t see it at all. Never,” Cohen said of Snooki joining the franchise. “Now here’s why I said it: I consider you one of the faces of MTV and the face of ‘Jersey Shore’.”

“And so for me, it’s like putting Mickey Mouse in a Bugs Bunny cartoon,” he added. “It’s too different. You know what I mean?”

The reality TV star said she was ‘not mad’ about Cohen’s statement, but added it was his tone that ruffled her the wrong way.

“I just didn’t like your little, ‘No, I’m fine,'” she added, to which Cohen replied, “That’s where I’m going too far.”

The couple then put their beef aside, with Cohen confirming that they “are not at war” any longer.

Snooki previously told Page Six that she didn’t think she could “hang out” with “housewives” because she “hated drama.”

Snooki said Cohen’s tone in explaining why she wouldn’t be cast “rubbed her the wrong way”.

“I’m, like, terrified because some of these girls…they get into it,” she told Us exclusively. “Even though I’m on a reality show, I hate drama. I like positivity and I just like having a good time and going home. I just feel like it would be wild.

Polizzi made her reality television debut in 2009 with the original “Jersey Shore.”

In September 2020, there were rumors that Bravo had scouted the MTV luminary as a possible “Real Housewife” from New Jersey.

However, Snooki immediately put those rumors to rest, writing on Instagram, “I don’t know how it started but I wasn’t asked to be a housewife. Sowwyyyyy.
