The women revealed they were slow to come forward because the controversial organization would discourage its members from reporting crimes to authorities.
None of them are yet members of the Church.
Masterson, who plans to appeal the sentence, had the support of his wife Bijou Phillips in the courtroom and throughout the trial. She also wrote a character letter to the judge.
The model and actress, 43, looked sullen after Thursday’s hearing as she tried to hide behind a taller man on her way out. She kept her wedding ring as a sign of solidarity.
