Biden admin pushed to ban Twitter users for COVID ‘misinformation’, files show

The White House Biden pressured Twitter to ‘elevate’ and ‘remove’ alleged COVID-19 ‘misinformation’ – but ended up ‘censoring information that was true but inconvenient’ to policymakers, according to the latest edition of the “Twitter Files” revealed Monday.

The campaign of coercion during the pandemic began with the Trump administration but intensified under Biden, whose administration has focused on deleting “anti-vaxxer accounts,” according to Free Press reporter David Zweig.

For example, in June 2021, hours after Biden publicly raged that social media companies were “killing people” by allowing alleged vaccine misinformation to spread, the former New York Times reporter and skeptic notorious on vaccines Alex Berenson has been banned from the site.

Berenson responded by suing Twitter, forcing the release of internal communications showing the White House pressured the company to crash his account.

“It doesn’t stop the infection. Or transmission. Don’t consider it a vaccine,” Berenson had tweeted.

“Think of it – at best – as a treatment with a limited window of effectiveness and a terrible side effect profile that must be dosed BEFORE ILLNESS,” he also wrote.

Just this month, Lauren Culbertson, Twitter’s head of US public policy, released a summary of meetings with the White House detailing his alleged pressure campaign, according to Zweig.

Former New York Times reporter and vaccine skeptic Alex Berenson was banned from Twitter in June 2021.

Culbertson said in his notes that the administration was “very angry” that Twitter hadn’t taken more aggressive action to silence vaccine critics and wanted the company to do more, the files show.

Among those Twitter cracked down on was Dr. Martin Kulldorff, an epidemiologist at Harvard Medical School

Kulldorff had tweeted in March 2021 that children and adults who had already been infected with COVID did not need the vaccine. This was flagged by the site as “misleading” — even though it was in line with the vaccination policies of “many other countries,” Zweig wrote.

This incident was just the icing on the cake, according to the reporter, who uncovered “countless instances of tweets being tagged as ‘misleading’ or deleted entirely, sometimes triggering account suspensions, simply for deviating CDC guidelines or differed from the views of the establishment.”

The latest revelations came after previous ‘Twitter Files’ found that the FBI and CIA had meddled with the company and prompted it to bow to political pressure, including convincing Twitter to censor the expose from The Post on how Hunter Biden used his father’s name to get dodgy business. overseas arrangements in the weeks leading up to the 2020 elections.

This is a developing story.
