Bijou Phillips looks dejected as she leaves the courtroom after husband Danny Masterson’s 30-year sentence
Danny Masterson’s wife, Bijou Phillips, looked dejected as she left the Los Angeles Criminal Courthouse on Thursday after her husband was sentenced to 30 years in prison on two counts of rape.
Phillips, who stood by Masterson throughout the trial, was photographed hiding behind a taller man as she left the building.
Although she shielded her face at first, the 43-year-old eventually looked up to reveal her sullen expression.
Phillips, whose face was flushed and swollen, hid his eyes behind a pair of dark, oversized sungla*ses.
The “Raising Hope” actress wore white pants, a blue collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up and matching blue kitten heels.
As Phillips and Masterson’s mother were taken to a waiting vehicle, the ‘That ’70s Show’ alum was led out of the courtroom in handcuffs after saying goodbye.
Phillips was in the courtroom when her husband’s verdict was read aloud and reportedly kept his sungla*ses on the entire time.
Despite a stoic expression throughout the hearing, Phillips kept his wedding ring on as an apparent show of solidarity.
During sentencing, the judge told Masterson – who claimed his innocence – that he was “not the victim”.
“Your actions 20 years ago took away another person’s choice and voice,” California Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo told him. “20 years ago today, your actions were criminal, and that’s why you are here.”
The victims were also present at the hearing and had the opportunity to present their own statements.

“You like to hurt women. It’s your addiction. It’s definitely your favorite thing to do,” said one of the women.
The 47-year-old, who did not take the stand during his trial, was given the maximum possible sentence of 30 years to life in prison.
Masterson was convicted of two rapes in 2003 in May after his first trial in November 2022 resulted in a hung jury.
Although three women came forward to accuse Masterson of s****l abuse, one of the cases was dropped.
The judgment would have “shocked and devastated” his wife, who “was not prepared for the verdict”.
“She didn’t expect him to be found guilty,” a source told People at the time. “She couldn’t believe he was immediately taken into custody and remanded in custody.”
Bijou, who shares a child with the actor, also reportedly felt “terrified” at the thought of becoming a single mother.
The former socialite and actor, both Scientologists, married in 2011.
