Bob Barker’s cause of death revealed

Bob Barker’s death is the result of his battle with Alzheimer’s disease, according to TMZ.

The “Price is Right” icon, who died last month, had never publicly discussed his battle with the disease.

While it’s unclear exactly when he was first diagnosed, his death certificate says his death occurred “years” after his Alzheimer’s disease began, according to the outlet.

Barker notably partnered with PETA in 2013 for a campaign highlighting how a vegetarian diet could help prevent brain disorders.

The news comes just over a week after Page Six confirmed that the game show host had died at the age of 99.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce that the greatest MC the world has ever lived, Bob Barker, has left us,” his rep told us.

Alongside his decades-long career, a CBS spokesperson added that “Bob will be remembered as a dedicated animal rights activist.”

“Daytime television has lost one of its most iconic stars,” they said in a statement.

“In his 35 years as host of ‘The Price Is Right’, Bob has made the dreams of countless people come true and everyone felt like a winner when he was called on to ‘come down.’

According to TMZ, which first reported the news, Barker pa*sed away peacefully at his home in Los Angeles.
