‘Devastated’ Hugh Jackman Seen For First Time Since Deborra-Lee Furness Split Without Wedding Ring
Hugh Jackman was spotted looking sullen and ringless after announcing his split from Deborra-Lee Furness.
In a video obtained exclusively by Page Six, the “X-Men” star told the paparazzi he was going through a “rough time” before continuing his daytime stroll in New York City on Saturday.
Jackman, whose left ring finger was notably bare during his outing, wore a dark-colored T-shirt and black jeans.
The 54-year-old kept his daytime outfits casual, pairing his look with black sneakers and Aviator sungla*ses.
Furness, 67, and Jackman announced Friday that they were separating after 27 years of marriage.
“We have been fortunate to share nearly three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful and loving marriage,” the two said in a joint statement to People.
“Our journey is now changing and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. »
The former couple, who share Oscar Maximilian Jackman, 23, and Ava Eliot Jackman, 18, added that their family “has been and always will be [their] absolute priority. »
“We embark on this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding of respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.
Although this was the first time the cast had spoken about their split, a Broadway insider told Page Six Friday that others had known about the split for some time.
“It happened some time ago. Friends and family knew,” our source previously said, adding that their split was “a long time coming.”
Rumors began circulating that there had been problems in their decades-long marriage after Furness was noticeably absent from Jackman’s rehearsals for the Broadway show “The Music Man.”
“Deb wasn’t at rehearsals much,” a source explained, telling us the mother of two “was even seen dozing off during some of them.”
Furness and Jackman met on the set of the Australian television series “Correlli” in 1995.

A year later, the couple married and adopted their two children after struggling to conceive both naturally and through IVF.
In April, Jackman posted a heartfelt tribute to his ex-wife celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary.
“I love you Deb. Today is our 27th wedding anniversary. 27 YEARS!!,” Jackman wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of the two kissing with a city skyline in the background.
“I love you so much. Together we have created a beautiful family. And life. Your laughter, your wit, your generosity, your humor, your insolence, your courage and your loyalty are an incredible gift to me.
Nearly a month later, the two appeared on what would be their final red carpet together for the 2023 Met Gala. A source told Page Six exclusively on Saturday that Jackman was “devastated” by the split.
