Dolly Parton, 77, Impresses in Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Outfit for Thanksgiving Halftime Show

Dolly, please don’t take our man.

Dolly Parton dazzled the crowd as she dressed as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader for her halftime performance during the team’s NFL game against the Washington Commanders on Thursday.

The country icon, 77, wore a low-cut crop top with a blue and white vest and skimpy white denim shorts, teamed with a bedazzled catsuit underneath.

Fans reacted to the singer’s stunning look on social media, with one user calling Parton a “national treasure”.

“Dolly Parton is 77 and hotter than me,” tweeted another.

“Damn…….#DollyParton looks better than the real #DallasCowboys Cheerleaders,” wrote a third, while another added: “Hell yeah #DollyParton 77 and smoking.”

The country music legend – who recently released a new album – performed some of her hit tracks such as “9 to 5” and “Jolene”, while also singing covers like “We Are the Champions” and ” We Will Rock You.”

Parton has a long history of making bold fashion statements, even before she became famous.

In an interview with the Guardian in October, the hit singer revealed that she modeled her iconic over-the-top look on the “town bum,” a local woman who wore high heels and tight skirts.

“She was flamboyant. She had bright red lipstick, long red nails,” Parton told the outlet.

“She had high heels, little plastic floating goldfish on the heels, short skirts, low-cut tops, and I just thought she was beautiful.”

When people said, ‘She’s just trash,’ I always said, ‘Well, that’s what I’m going to be when I grow up,'” she added.

However, the legendary singer recalled that her pastor grandfather was not thrilled with her appearance and would sometimes physically punish her for her risky ensembles.

“I was willing to pay for it,” Parton said.

“I’m very sensitive, I didn’t like being disciplined – it hurt so much to be scolded or whipped or whatever. But sometimes there’s just that part of you that’s willing, if you really want something, to go for it.

After decades of maintaining her proudly flamboyant and loud look, Parton said she has “always been true to [herself].”
