Jared Bridegan’s ex-wife has chilling connection to man accused of murdering Microsoft executive
The man accused of murdering a Microsoft executive in front of his 2-year-old daughter last year has a direct connection to the slain father’s ex-wife and her new husband, property records show.
Records show 61-year-old Henry Tenon – who faces murder for allegedly killing Jared Bridegan – lived in a house that once belonged to Mario Fernandez.
Tenon resided at 5239 Potomac Ave. in Jacksonville, Florida, which is listed as owned by Fernandez, according to records.
Fernandez had married Shanna Gardner-Fernandez in 2018, two years after his split from Bridegan, with whom she had continued to feud over custody arrangements for their two children long after their divorce.
At a press conference, law enforcement officials stressed that Tenon did not act alone in the killing and that their investigation was ongoing.
Shanna and Mario Fernandez had previously been named suspects in Bridegan’s death, but cops made no connection between them and Tenon at a news conference announcing his arrest on Wednesday.
Tenon, a convicted felon, has been the victim of burglaries and battery blows before.
Gardner-Fernandez and his new wife vehemently denied involvement in Bridegan’s death, but retained prominent Jacksonville attorney Henry Coxe III shortly after the murder.
His marriage to Bridegan was reportedly dissolved after she cheated on him. But despite their legal wrangling, in an interview with the Florida Times-Union, Gardner-Fernandez adamantly denied any role in her ex-spouse’s death.
She admitted she once asked a tattoo parlor employee if he knew anyone who could shut Bridegan up, but dismissed the remark as a casual joke.
Gardner-Fernandez, who comes from a wealthy Mormon family, recently moved from Florida to a property in Richland, Washington, which was purchased by her parents.
She reportedly parted ways with Fernandez, and he didn’t join her in the move.
Bridegan was shot in front of his 2-year-old daughter Bexley in what police definitely called a planned hit.
The doting dad had four children, two with Gardner-Fernandez and two with his new wife, Kirsten Bridegan.
