Kate Middleton attends Wimbledon with daughter Princess Charlotte amid cancer battle

Kate Middleton makes a great comeback at Wimbledon!

The Princess of Wales, 42, made a surprise appearance at this year’s Wimbledon tennis championships on Sunday as she continues to undergo cancer treatment.

Princess Catherine delighted fans as she arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club with her 9-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte.

She appeared in good spirits as she hung a gorgeous purple dress.

Charlotte wore a blue polka dot dress.

Kate will present the trophy to the winner of the match between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz. He is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

His visit comes a month after he joined the royal family to celebrate King Charles’ birthday on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at the Trooping the Color ceremony.

While her brief return to the spotlight took a toll on her health, the beloved royal seemingly isn’t letting her illness get in the way of her love of tennis.

The Grand Slam appearance mother of three has been up in the air since revealing her cancer diagnosis to the world in March.

Last month, it was reported that the royal was considering attending the annual tennis championships to show that her recovery is on track.

As well as being a patron, Middleton – a tennis fan in her own right – has tried to attend the tournament every year and can often be seen watching matches from the royal box on Center Court.

Last month, the chair of the All England Club – which hosts the annual grass court tournament – spoke out about speculation over Middleton’s attendance.

“Our priority is obviously that our patron has time to recover and we’re certainly not going to put any additional pressure on his recovery by presuming his appearance at this year’s championships,” Deborah Jevans said at a media briefing.

Addressing rumors about who will present the trophies to the finalists on July 13 and 14, Jevans said no decision has been made.

“And when it comes to the presentation ceremony, like in previous years, we will announce those who are going to be part of the ceremony on the morning of the finals, so nothing has changed in that regard,” he shared.

Kensington Palace declined to comment.

Princess Catherine usually attends the men’s and women’s finals and presents the winners and runners-up with their trophies.

Last year, the beloved royal joined forces with tennis legend Roger Federer to do a ball girl task ahead of the championships.

The princess engaged with the Wimbledon ball boys and girls and even enjoyed a sparring session with the Swiss star – the tournament’s eight-time champion.

Middleton shows her support for the annual championship, with her husband Prince William expected to travel to Berlin, Germany, to cheer on England’s men’s soccer team against Spain in the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship final on Sunday.

The Prince of Wales, 42, is president of the Football Association, football’s governing body in England, and is an avid fan of the sport.

The future king is set to join the UK’s new prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer.
