“Real Housewives” star Kelly Bensimon is about to become a Real Housewife. Or at least, a real woman. But she tells Page Six she has butterflies about the whole thing.
Bensimon put her downtown apartment up for rent — for a whopping $28,500 a month — and moved in on Tuesday with her fiancé, financier Scott Litner, we’re told.
“I’m really, really excited to move in with him,” she told Page Six at designer Dennis Ba*so’s Fashion Week show.
But she says she suffers from nervousness.
“I’m really nervous about leaving my old apartment,” she tells us. “I’m just praising, but there’s still something to be said for this life I’ve created all by myself for my daughters,” says the single mother of two.
“I am very proud of having raised them and having financed them on my own. It’s very strange to move in with someone else,” she told us.
Bensimon, married to fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon for ten years, has daughters Sea, 25, and Teddy, 23.
She got engaged to Litner on July 4 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin after a year of dating.
The “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy” star put her apartment in the Beaux Arts Police Building at 240 Center St. on the rental market in August.
Litner also has children.
“It’ll be a mix of all of those,” she tells us, speaking of decor: “I guess I’ll go for a nest vibe.” All these little ducklings in one big nest.
The wedding is planned for next March or April and Bensimon has a dream wish when it comes to her dress.
“I really want Calvin,” she told us, clarifying: “Not Calvin Klein [the brand]Calvin [Klein the person] himself. . . When I think of wearing the most beautiful dress in the world, it’s Calvin for me.
