Khloé Kardashian shows huge indentation on cheek after skin cancer removal

Khloé Kardashian has spoken candidly about her skin cancer journey after having a “small section of melanoma” removed from her cheek last year.

“For those who don’t know, I had a skin cancer scare on my face,” the Good American co-founder wrote alongside a series of snaps posted to her Instagram Story on Tuesday.

“We had to remove a tumor from my cheek, I was left with an indentation,” she added.

“I’m definitely not complaining because I’d rather have an imprint than a melanoma any day.”

The mum-of-two, 39, also shared before and after photos of her cheek, including close-ups of her post-surgery stitches.

Other photos showed the visible bump on her face following the removal, and Kardashian revealed she’s now getting cosmetic injections.

“By the way, I waited over nine months for this to be filled,” she wrote. “Patience is key and of course we have to make sure everything is medically safe.”

The reality star added that getting cheek fillers “will always be something” she has to do.

“I look crazy in these pics but I’m just happy my face is slowly straightening out haha,” she wrote alongside selfies showing her results from a round of injections.

The “Kardashians” star also thanked Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher for carefully removing the tumor she thought was a “pimple for almost a year.”

“Not only did he remove the tumor and make sure I was absolutely cancer free, but he did an amazing job making my scar as small and beautiful as possible,” she wrote.

Kardashian also urged her millions of followers to get frequent skin cancer checkups.

“I never imagined that this little feature would turn into skin cancer and I can’t imagine what could have happened if I hadn’t gone to the doctor to get it checked out,” she said. added.

The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ alum first revealed she had the tumor removed in October 2022 following a series of headlines ‘about the ever-changing bandage’ on her face.

“You will continue to see my bandages and when I am allowed to, you will probably see a scar (and an imprint on my cheek from the tumor removal), but until then, I hope you enjoy how fabulous I make them. look at the facial bandages,” she said at the time.

This was the second skin cancer scare for the Hulu reality star, who previously discovered a malignant mole on her back when she was 19 years old.
