Kit Harington looks insanely ripped in shirtless backstage shot at West End’s ‘Slave Play’
Kit Harington is absolutely ripped in a new behind-the-scenes photo of the West End production of “Slave Play.”
The shirtless snap of the “Game of Thrones” star, 37, featured “Slave Play” playwright Jeremy O. Harris, 35, posted on Tuesday, July 23
“Keats is going to kill me for posting this,” Harris wrote on her Instagram Story. “Share it so he forgives me.”
The actor is currently starring in Harris’s Tony-nominated “Slave Play” in London’s West End. Harrington did not comment on the post as he is not on social media.
The picture shows the star flaunting his six-pack display. He struck a bodybuilder-style pose as he looked into what appeared to be his messy dressing room for the camera.
Two IV bags and drips are seen at either end of the photo.
Harris later added the image to a carousel of images on his main Instagram page celebrating the start of the West End run of “Slave Play”.
The photo caught the attention of many of Harington’s fans on social media, with one person on X, formerly known as Twitter, captioning the steamy snap, “Kit Harington I have no words.”
Another added, “Go watch the drama, watch more! 😉”
The actor is no stranger to showing off his toned body in his work. Harington thrilled audiences with shirtless moments in “Game of Thrones” and his 2014 swords-and-sandals movie “Pompeii.”
Harington has been playing Jim in “Slave Play” since the London production opened June 29 at the Noel Coward Theatre.
The play debuted on Broadway in October 2019. It made history when it earned 12 Tony nominations, breaking the record for most Tony nominations received by a non-musical play. However, the show went home without a trophy.
“Slave Play” follows three interracial couples following a form of sex therapy called “antebellum sexual performance therapy” after the black partners no longer feel sexually attracted to their white lovers.
According to Harris, Harington had reservations about joining the cast at first.
“Kit was saying, ‘I don’t want it to be Kit Harington in Slave Play. It’s an ensemble play and I’m not even the lead,” Harris told the Guardian in February.
“He knows how much weight his name carries and how it can be a distraction, if we let it be.”
