‘MasterChef Generations’ star Fatima breaks down in tears after Fox judges call her dish a ‘TikTok’ disaster
Los Angeles, California: In the latest episode of ‘MasterChef: Generations’, contestant Fatima faced a challenging critique from the judges that left her emotional and in tears. The task was to create food using aged and fermented ingredients, pushing contestants to demonstrate their culinary creativity and skill.
Fatima, representing Gen Z, decided to prepare aged salmon and kimchi balls with spaghetti and miso buttered asparagus. His dish was ambitious, mixing the flavors of aged salmon and tangy kimchi with earthy miso and asparagus. However, his choice of material and execution did not resonate well with the judges.
During the tasting, Gordon Ramsay, Aaron Sanchez and Joe Bastianich tested Fatima’s food. Gordon expressed disappointment with the dish’s presentation and overall appeal, describing it as unappetizing. Aaron noted that while the seasoning of the salmon was decent, the overall balance of the dish was lacking. Joe, known for his blunt criticism, called the flavors “mass confusion,” suggesting that the combination of ingredients was not well-balanced.
The judges’ reaction impressed Fatima, who put considerable effort into her food. She was visibly upset and struggled to hold back tears while processing their critique, as the judges compared her dish to a ‘TikTok’ recipe.
Fatima left her suitor in a burnt state
In the last episode of MasterChef: Generations, Fatima faced a devastating setback when her dish went awry in the kitchen. Fatima, originally from Nigeria and now living in Queens, New York, tried to put a unique spin on her childhood favorite, banana rice jolti. However, during the cooking process, his dish ends up on fire, forcing him to throw out the burnt bananas and start from scratch.
The accident left Fatima visibly shaken as she worked tirelessly to retrieve her dish and present it to the judges. Despite the setback, Fatima was determined to demonstrate her culinary skills and defended the fish, as the judges refrained from harsh criticism.

Fatima had an accident during the ‘MasterChef: Generation’ audition
During her audition on ‘MasterChef: Generations’, Fatima met with a notable mishap when her blender unexpectedly malfunctioned. The mishap causes the ingredients, including judge Joe Bastianich, to spill, causing chaos in the kitchen.
Despite this setback, Fatima remained calm and composed, quickly regaining control of the situation. She continued her cooking and focused on presenting her dish to the judges as the judges were ultimately impressed with her dish, earning her the apron for the night.
