Maurice ‘Mom’ Boucher, former boss of the Hells Angels, dies in prison of cancer | PKBNEWS

Former Hells Angels leader Maurice Boucher, also known as Mom Boucher, has died aged 69.

According to Global TVA Nouvelle affiliate, Boucher, considered one of the most infamous criminals in Quebec history, died on Sunday after a battle with throat cancer.

He died in the palliative care unit of a correctional health facility affiliated with Archambault Prison in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Quebec, where he was serving a life sentence.

A notorious murderer, drug dealer, outlaw biker and former head of the Quebec chapter of the Hells Angels, has been convicted of attempted murder and two counts of first-degree murder of two Quebec prison officers in an attempt to destabilize the Quebec justice system in 2002.

He received an automatic life sentence without the possibility of parole for at least 25 years. He was imprisoned in Canada’s only supermax prison.

He had been battling cancer for seven years and was transferred to hospice care on June 10. He just turned 69 on June 21.
