Meghan Markle Switches From Chanel Flats to $790 Hermès Sneakers at the Invictus Games

She gets by with good food.

Meghan Markle made her second appearance at the 2023 Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany on Wednesday, switching from white shorts to an all-black fit with expensive designer sneakers.

While the Duchess of Suss*x, 42, wore two pieces under $200 earlier today – wearing a J.Crew Giselle V-Neck Sweater Blazer ($158) and Staud Pleated Cotton Shorts ($175) ) – Markle transformed into a black look to take during a swimming competition with her husband, Prince Harry.

She wore a black sleeveless sweater with matching skinny jeans, swapping her $1,350 two-tone Chanel flats for a pair of comfortable but still high-end gray canvas Hermès sneakers ($790).

The casual style, featuring a white sole and black leather trim on the heel, also comes in a teal colorway for those looking for a more adventurous sneaker.

The Duchess wore her hair twisted into an elegant bun with loose tendrils, keeping the same Anito Ko diamond leaf earrings in her ears from the morning outing and her usual combo of a Cartier Love bracelet (7,350 $) worn with Princess Diana’s gold Cartier Tank Française watch. ($26,000).

Markle also showcased affordable pieces over the past two days at the games after traveling from LAX in a casual navy blue J.Crew sweater ($138).

She made her first appearance at the games in another affordable outfit, wearing an on-sale shirt dress from Banana Republic Factory ($60, originally $140) to join the Duke at the “Friends @ Home” event, sporting also a pearl bracelet on which one could read: “INVICTUS.”

However, the Duchess stuck to her penchant for expensive accessories this week, sporting everything from the Hermès Brides de Gala scarf ($1,225) for her flight to the Bottega Veneta braided belt she wore with her Banana Republic dress .
