Patrick Mahomes’ Mom Randi Gushes Over Brittany’s ‘Real’ Friendship With Taylor Swift ‘Fun’ at NFL Honors
Patrick Mahomes’ mother Randi says her stepdaughter Brittany Mahomes’ friendship with Taylor Swift is the real deal.
The Mahomes family matriarch chatted with Page Six on Thursday at the NFL Honors about her first impressions of the pop star, 34, and how great it’s been for Brittany, 28, to have a new friend this season.
“It’s hard at this point to meet people who are real and real and have kind of found themselves,” she exclaimed. “They really talk all the time and they’re really good friends.”
The two WAGs hit it off at a post-game party last year and have since become very close, with Brittany often joining Swift for fun nights out in New York. They have also watched almost every Kansas City Chiefs game together this season.
Randi, who looked stunning in a sequined black suit, added that it’s been cool to see the couple’s “bond growing” over the past couple of months – despite some of the outside noise.
The mother of three also criticized some NFL fans — and even a few sports commentators — who complain about Swift’s presence at Chiefs games, noting that it “brings families together.”
“It’s so exciting! I love it because, you know, I hear all the noise about it and I feel like it brings fathers and their daughters closer together, like I see at the games” , she explained.
“I meet so many little girls at games with their dads.” she continued. “And it’s like it brings families together when Sunday would be dad’s day to watch football or go to the game and now they’re at the airport with their little girls or their kids with them.”
Although Randi hasn’t spent as much time with the “Cruel Summer” singer as her daughter-in-law, she did have the chance to meet the 14-time Grammy winner in October.

When asked about her first impressions of Swift, Randi joked that she didn’t know the five-foot-eleven singer was so tall.
“I didn’t expect it to be so big!” she told us. “I didn’t expect to walk up to her and say, ‘Wow, you’re so tall!'”
Although Swift is a global icon, Randi says his interaction with her was relatively normal.
The two met at the Chiefs’ game against the Los Angeles Chargers a few months ago and got to know each other over a meal in their VIP suite.
“We were chatting, going to get some food and I was like, ‘We have to go back! We have to go back to our seats,” she explained, noting that the superstitious group likes to stay in the same seats during the match to bring good luck to the team.
“And so we had a lot of fun with that,” she added, noting that they also bonded over their “love of chefs.”
Randi has been close to her boyfriend Travis Kelce – who is one of Patrick’s best friends – for years.
Despite becoming a global celebrity since dating Swift, Randi says she hasn’t “seen a change” in Kelce at all.
“He’s the funniest guy,” she said of the two-time Super Bowl champion. “He’s still the coolest guy.”
“It made it a lot of fun,” she continued. “It made things interesting and exciting, even for me!”
Kelce and Patrick will have the chance to win their third Super Bowl on Sunday when they take on the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
While Randi teased that she’ll be seated in a suite with their “immediate family,” it’s unclear if Swift will have her own VIP box or if she’ll be watching the game alongside Brittany, as usual.
