Pete Davidson Gave Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars to ‘Bupkis’ Staff After Show Canceled: Report

Nothing says sorry like a big pile of cash.

After Pete Davidson’s exit from “Bupkis” led to the cancellation of the TV series, the “Saturday Night Live” team reportedly handed out cash prizes to some of the creators who worked on the show, according to TMZ.

The “Meet Cute” star handed over “hundreds of thousands” of dollars to the creators who worked on the first season, according to insiders who also said he did so as a way to thank them for all their hard work.

One source added that the 30-year-old comedian “gave money to a few people” who “were involved in the first season, but weren’t necessarily working on the now-dead second season.”

Representatives for Davidson did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Davidson walked away from The Peac**k Show — a half-hour, biographical comedy about his life — last month. The sitcom, which co-starred Edie Falco and Joe Pesci for its first eight episodes, was renewed for a second season in June 2023 — several months before Davidson exited.

However, once the comedian announced his departure, the streaming service pulled the plug on the show completely.

“I’ve always seen ‘Bupkis’ as a window into my life, because it’s very personal and about my struggles and my family,” Davidson told Variety when he confirmed his exit in March.

“After almost a decade of my personal life in the media, I wanted the opportunity to tell my story my way. Of all the work I have ever done, Bupkis is the one I am most proud of.

Davidson also expressed his gratitude “to Lorne Michaels, Broadway Video, Peac**k, Universal Television and the amazing cast and writers for helping me create something so honest, funny and heartfelt.”

“I also feel like that part of my life is over,” the “King Of Staten Island” star continued.

“I’m so excited for this next chapter and to see you guys in action. Thank you to everyone who supports me because I’m forever grateful.

Davidson will soon star alongside Eddie Murphy in a new blockbuster movie, according to TMZ sources. He previously appeared in films such as “Dumb Money” and “Bodies Bodies Bodies.”
