Prince Harry makes appearance at King Charles’ 75th birthday tribute after party snobbery

Prince Harry made an appearance at a tribute to King Charles III’s 75th birthday despite the father-son duo being estranged.

The royal family’s official Instagram account shared a series of photos from Charles’ life on Tuesday, including some memories from Harry’s childhood.

One photo showed the prince on the day he was born in 1984 with his father and late mother, Princess Diana.

A second snap showed a young Harry hitting the slopes with Charles on a ski trip, and another showed them smiling at a royal event in 1996.

“👑🎂 We wish His Majesty the King a happy 75th birthday,” the family captioned the montage.

Interestingly, none of the photos featured Harry, 36, and his estranged brother Prince William with their father.

The Invictus Games founder has been at odds with Charles and William since he and Markle, 42, stepped down from royal duties in 2020 and moved to Montecito, California, where they now live with their two children, Prince Archie, 4 years old, and Princess Lilibet, 2 years old.

Harry then made matters worse when he criticized his father in his memoir, describing him as cold and unaffectionate.

He wrote in his book that Charles didn’t hug him after announcing Diana’s death in a car crash in 1997. Harry also claimed his father said his “job was done” after the birth of his youngest son and that he had produced an alternative heir. to the British throne.

Despite the tension, sources claimed Charles wanted nothing more than to ingratiate himself with Harry – but for strategic purposes.

“Ultimately, Charles has not only a personal but also a strategic need to resolve the problem,” a former palace staffer told The Daily Beast last month.

“It is untenable that the king, who is the national symbol of unity, is on such bad terms with his son.”
