Princess Eugenie is pregnant!
The royal and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, announced on Tuesday that they are expecting the second baby.
“We are thrilled to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer,” the pregnant star wrote in an Instagram photo of her one-year-old son August kissing her belly.
The couple became parents in February 2021 upon the arrival of their baby boy.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie safely gave birth to a son today, 9th February 2021,” read Buckingham Palace’s statement at the time. “The baby weighs 8 pounds. 1 oz.
“The Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the announcement concluded.
The duo shared their baby boy’s first photo on the same day, the Instagram upload only showing his hand.
August’s face and name were revealed nearly two weeks later.
“We wanted to introduce you,” the couple captioned the child’s debut. “Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are filled with love for this little human.
“Words cannot express,” they gushed. “We are delighted to be able to share these photos with you.”
Eugenie’s older sister, Princess Beatrice, welcomed her own child the same year, giving birth to daughter Sienna in September.
The 34-year-old princess was already stepmother to her husband’s son, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Christopher “Wolfie”, from his previous marriage to Dara Huang.
The Banda Property founder and Beatrice tied the knot in July 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eugenie, 32, and Brooksbank, for their part, tied the knot in October 2018, nine months after their engagement.
