Priscilla Presley Calls Lisa Marie’s Death “A Very Difficult Moment” After Burial
Priscilla Presley has thanked fans and subscribers for their support throughout what has been a “very difficult time” in light of the passing of her daughter Lisa Marie Presley.
“Thank you all for your condolences, you touched me with your words”, Priscilla tweeted late Monday.
“It’s been a very difficult time, but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference.”
Lisa Marie was laid to rest at Graceland on Sunday next to her late son, Benjamin Keough, following a star-studded memorial service, at which Alanis Morissette performed and Sarah Ferguson gave a touching eulogy.
The daughter of late singer-songwriter Riley Keough also asked her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, to read a letter to her late mother on her behalf.
“I remember you giving me baths as a baby, driving me around in my car seat listening to Aretha Franklin…taking me out for ice cream after school in Florida,” he said. -she writes.
“I remember you singing lullabies to me and my brother at night, and how you stayed with us until we fell asleep,” she continued, referring to Benjamin.

Lisa Marie, who was the only child of Priscilla and the late Elvis Presley, died on January 12 after suffering cardiac arrest. She was 54 years old. His official cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Priscilla, 77, confirmed Lisa Marie’s death hours after the “Lights Out” singer was rushed to hospital.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter, Lisa Marie, has left us,” she said in a statement.
“She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
