Regina General Hospital parking lot to be completed by end of 2024
The much-anticipated Regina General Hospital parking lot is officially moving forward and work is expected to begin this fall.
After years of safety concerns and complaints about the lack of parking spaces from hospital staff and the public, the decision to proceed with the project was made in 2022.
The car park will include a total of 1,005 stands – 873 stands in the car park and 132 stands above ground.
The province said the installation would increase parking around the hospital by a total of 686 spaces.
“We have heard the concerns of hospital staff and visitors,” Health Minister Everett Hindley said in a press release. “This car park will provide a safe and convenient parking option for years to come. “
Regina-based Link Developments Ltd. will construct the parking lot, having recently completed projects such as the Eastgate Center – Medical Professional Building, the University of Saskatchewan Stadium Parkade and the Avenue P office building. Medical in Saskatoon.

Construction is expected to begin this month and be completed by the end of 2024.
