New music by Rod Stewart
In 2021, the indefatigable Stewart releases not one, but two records as well as a Greatest Hits album.
Not a bad year.
The first offering, “Cupid,” is 16 romance songs. With choice covers from Cat Stevens and Van Morrison plus a few originals, it’s a perfect accompaniment to any Valentine’s Day.
Album two, the 31st in his career, is the more traditional pop record “Les Larmes d’Hercule”. AllMusic called the 12 tracks “alternately puzzling, absurd, sweet and endearing.”
List of Rod Stewart sets
With a career spanning seven decades and a few bands – remember the Jeff Beck Group and The Faces? – Stewart clearly has his pick of the litter when it comes to selecting the songs he will perform at concerts.
What has he opened with lately? What songs make up his encore? Does he play covers?
Big questions.
You can find a complete archive of all of Stewart’s setlists from 1975 to 2022 here.
