Saskatoon fireworks festival will light up skies and close roads this weekend – Saskatoon

The Nutrien Fireworks Festival will light up Saskatoon’s skies this long weekend and shut down many downtown streets.

Shows will kick off with a bang around 9:35 p.m. Friday and Saturday from the Broadway Bridge.

A unique show will be performed each evening, choreographed to music.

Activities at River Landing, Spadina Crescent and Rotary Park will keep people busy starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.

“Over the past few years, our themes have focused on things like communications and the strength and resilience of our community. This year, we’re getting a little more personal with our theme ‘What Friends Are For’,” said festival chairman Shad Ali. “We all have these close friendships that are built on unspoken trusts and trust, these people we know we can count on. This is what we honor and respect this year.
