Shannon Beador appeared drunk at bar near crash site before arrest for drunk driving: report

Shannon Beador reportedly appeared “drunk” while at a local bar Saturday night before being arrested for drunk driving.

According to TMZ, the 59-year-old reality TV personality was drinking with her friend Steve Muller at a restaurant in Newport Beach, California, just a half-mile from the residential building she crashed into later that night.

Eyewitnesses told the outlet that Beador made a scene while chatting with Muller, waving her arms in the air and speaking loudly enough that nearby customers could hear what she was saying.

In fact, the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star reportedly spent most of the night badmouthing her former castmate Alexis Bellino, who was also at the bar.

Bellino told TMZ in a statement that she and Beador did not speak that evening, although the latter apparently had a lot to say about her.

“When my girlfriends and I arrived for a fun evening together, I quickly learned that Shannon was also at the same restaurant,” Bellino said. “Shannon and I did not interact that night, but it saddens me greatly to learn that she may harbor negative feelings or resentment toward me.”

The Bravo alum, 46, also noted that she “wasn’t involved” in her ex-husband Jim Bellino’s 2018 defamation lawsuit against Beador and Tamra Judge.

“From one single mother to another, I wish Shannon nothing but the best as I know she faces tough times ahead,” Bellino concluded.

Representatives for Beador did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

On Tuesday, TMZ obtained video of the scary crash, showing the reality star zooming around a sharp turn before losing control of her vehicle.

Beador narrowly missed the building’s front door, but damaged the home’s exterior and landscaping, according to photos obtained on Page Six.

Despite the damage, Beador immediately reversed and fled the scene before parking his car “in the middle of the street,” according to TMZ.

When Beador, who allegedly had her dog in the car, was questioned by police, she told them she was “just walking her puppy.”

However, the cops didn’t believe her story and she was later arrested for hit-and-run and driving under the influence of alcohol – both misdemeanors.

After Bravolebrity was released on $2,500 bail, her attorney, Mike Fell, told us she was “extremely sorry and remorseful” and “ready to accept full responsibility for her actions.”

Meanwhile, Beador’s good friend Jeff Lewis revealed that she was “injured” in the accident on his SiriusXM radio show, “Jeff Lewis Live.”

While he didn’t reveal the severity of her injuries, he noted that Beador would “be pursuing counseling” — despite the fact that he doesn’t think she has a drinking problem.

“I don’t think Shannon is an alcoholic,” Lewis said. “As a close friend, I think she’s going through a lot of personal struggles at the moment, and I think she’s probably leaned into alcohol. But I don’t think she’s an alcoholic.
