If you want to be thrown “The crown,” then you need to find a talent agent.
Footage from the set of season six of “The Crown” has surfaced showing an actress playing a member of the late ’90s pop ensemble, the Spice Girls.
Snapshots taken earlier this week show the stars of the Netflix series’ final season filming at Winchester Cathedral in the UK.
An unnamed woman was dressed as Geri Halliwell – Ginger Spice – in her red, white and blue Union Jack dress.
Other actors were also photographed, wearing colorful costumes and palace uniforms.
Dominic West, who plays Prince (now King) Charles in the royal drama, was also seen on set wearing a black jacket and gray trousers.
Other actresses were also pictured sporting flower crowns, puffy white dresses, stockings and comfy dresses.
Charles, 74, met the Spice Girls – Halliwell, Victoria Beckham (née Adams), Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton – in 1997 at the Princess Trust Concert. At the event, Halliwell, 50, and Mel B, 47, showered the former Prince of Wales with kisses, leaving lipstick smudges on his cheek.
Halliwell was also accused of touching her bottom at the party.
She denied the charges in a 2016 interview with The Times. “I didn’t pinch Prince Charles’ butt as has been reported,” she said.
“I patted it,” she continued. “Tapping him on the bum was against royal protocol, but we are all human. There was a lot of nervous energy, young women, cheerful antics.
The sixth installment of Peter Morgan’s critically acclaimed streaming series will premiere later this year and is the final season to portray the royal family saga.
The show will take viewers through the last quarter of the 1990s and into the early 2000s, depicting events such as the death of Princess Diana in 1997, Tony Blair’s time as Prime Minister and more.
Returning season five cast members include Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Phillip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles.
Prince William will be played by both Rufus Kampa and Ed McVey as he grows. Meg Bellamy plays the younger version of her girlfriend – now wife and Princess of Wales – Kate Middleton.
