'SPider Woman's Kissing' review: Jennifer Lopez's movie-music is another disappointment
Movie reviews
The woman's kiss
Running time: 128 minutes. Not yet rated.
Park City, Utah-John Kandar and Fred ABB's Tony Award-winning 1993 Broadwee Show resides “Kiss of the Spider Woman” movie opening credit.
After all, the best two films made so far were adapted from the legendary pair Eeuvre: “Cabare” and “Chicago”. Both of these stylish hits are for good reasons, the best image tolerates the winners.
I suspect the movie-classic status will be the way to Wavali Mrs. “Spider Woman”, which was premiere at the Sunday night at the Sunday night. He was caught on his web, I wasn't.
Yes, Ingrid Luna, the goddess of the silver screen as star Jennifer Lopez's singing and dancing arm. That's his Four, so there is no push. And the newly arrived Tonatuh, homosexual prisoner Luis Molina, who is a weak and charismatic search.
However, the “Dreamgarles” director Bill Condon's off-pateting movie is a visual and narrative mess; To be polished where it should be intriguing and ugly where it must be glamorous. Bland, almost always.
The story of Manuel Pooig's 1976 novel exists in two opposition worlds. The strict reality during the Dirty War of 9 is Crampod, Dank Argentina's prison cell that Molina, a dazzling window dresser who is a brutal handwritten, chatted with chat, chatted with political unsatisfactory Valentin (Diego Luna).
This is far from the clustrophobic cage, we have played Molina's Polyanist fantasy: Calidoscopic scenes from the fictional movie “Kiss of the Spider Woman” of the 1950s played the role of Aurora that he described his Rumi to Rumi at night to escape from Grimm.
At first Valentine is upset with all the showtune jabers. He hates the musical instrument. However, the outspoken revolutionary soon sucks by the plot.
The same can be said about the audience of the film.
The difference between the two identities of the movie is essential. Condon Broadway Show's clink songs are usually sung by Molina and Valentine, it was the right choice, even if it means Molina's fabulous identity melody “lost their clothing”.
Keeping the music free in prison means the dreams of oppressed Molina, poetry, on the other hand his reality is prose. Beautiful ideas, however, look at life behind the prison and feel on the very terrifying stage. The environment is never credible and therefore lack of real threats. You easily “action!”
The old-Hollywood passich numbers with an equal and oppocyte problem lopez should be good. Production design and cinematography are so garbage, they have given me Aranophobia. Setting alternatives between the budget-friendly high school cafeterium and small golf courses. Like more prisons, in my mind.
Condon chooses a wide, continuous shot that shows the exemplary skills of Condon Lopez for dance like “Gimme Love”. This is a real joy of old Hollywood films – Jean Kelly is watching a sequence nail in a single go without the help of an editor. The same is true for radient lopez, whose belting and the hoof are better than his performance. Manzoor, Aurora Lady Macbeth is not.
The problem is, the disappearing horn without closedups and cuts becomes clearly obvious. Like the fluorescent lights upside down in the semi-supernatural room, you spot the scuff mark and the plywood of the jerk. The stages are windy with death and not enough choreographers to fill them in enough quantities. No surprise
In addition to these 11 performances of Masterful Songs of Kandar and ABB, there is a knot movie-a-movie plot associated with a love triangle that is unnecessarily windy. Its developments are difficult to follow, and the mood is lazy and non-reflected as the actors are lamping the genre instead of trying legitimately.
The “Spider Woman” improves the final third as the ice melts between Molina and Valentine. Molina is taking refuge in a dangerous privacy, and Valentine has begun to consider her cellmit not as boring, careful and damaged. Tonetuh and Luna make an authentic chemistry.
Intimate, attached moments are vital to the story. However, it is a film-music and ultimately dissatisfied with its main part.
If you left the song “Chicago” of Rob Marshall, “That's good, isn't it? Was ”.
