Tori Spelling shares heartfelt birthday tribute for mom Candy after rift over family fortune

Tori Spelling celebrated her mother Candy Spelling’s 78th birthday with a touching tribute following their years-long feud.

“Happy birthday mom,” the actress wrote on Instagram Wednesday alongside a series of mother-daughter photos from her childhood to adulthood.

“I love you. I’m grateful to be your daughter. Some of my happiest memories involve laughing so hard with you that we were happily crying uncontrollably and you were wheezing LOL… 😂.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum specifically recalled “tickle festivals” and ice cream fights with her mother and brother, Randy Spelling.

“I never take for granted the good life you raised Rand and I in with Dad,” Tori continued.

The 50-year-old mother of five also seemingly shut down speculation about a pending breakup with Candy, adding: “I loved and still love watching horror movies in bed with you.”

Last month, Tori’s ex-husband, Charlie Shanian, shared his views on the “BH90210” actress’ former feud with her mother, from whom she was estranged when her father, Aaron Spelling, died in June 2006.

The screenwriter – who was married to the “Stori Telling” author from 2004 to 2006 – claimed their rift widened when the late film and TV producer named his wife as the sole heir to his fortune of 600 million dollars.

Shanian told the Daily Mail that Tori started “crying” because she was “so upset” about the inheritance decision.

” From what I understood… [Aaron’s] I hoped it would bring Tori closer to her mother because it would require a connection between them,” he said.

“[Tori] cried and felt upset, not because of the money, but because of what it meant [it] was structured in such a way,” Shanian, 58, continued. “There’s real pain in there.”

Additionally, he alleged that Candy had set up trust funds for his two adult children, which he said they would “get again…one day.”

The “Candy at Last” author came under intense scrutiny last month while Tori and her five children – Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 11, Finn, 11, and Beau, 6 – were living in a camper van at a campsite.

She even disabled her comments on Instagram following backlash for allegedly ignoring her daughter’s housing “crisis” and financial struggles.

However, an insider told Page Six at the time that Candy had found a place to live for Tori and her grandchildren – but she was turned down.

“Candy spent hours on the phone trying to find [a house]”, the source said, claiming that the actress declined the offer because she “wanted to live in a certain place.”

“[It] It’s good. They should live where they want to live,” the source added.

Tori was reportedly struggling financially following her split from ex-husband Dean McDermott, who announced their separation in June after 17 years of marriage.

Before her RV trip, the former reality TV star stayed at a $100-a-night motel with their kids.
