Vicki Gunvalson criticized for ‘tone deaf’ message with Shannon Beador after DUI

Vicki Gunvalson faced backlash for promoting a c**ktail on her show “Tres Amigas” with Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador, whose arrest for a drunken hit-and-run had just made headlines.
On Monday, the OG “Real Housewives of Orange County” star shared an Instagram photo where she and her two best friends posed in front of a stage while wearing orange blazer dresses.

Gunvalson, 61, also told guests they had the option of joining them for a “pre-show c**ktail or post-show meet-and-greet!” 🍸.
However, it didn’t take long for fans to remind Gunvalson that Beador, 59, had just been arrested for drunk driving.
“A little tone-deaf, but the orange jumpsuits image is a nice touch,” one user wrote, while another pointed out: “I’m not sure Shannon will be in the mood to party and drink .”

“After last night it might be Dos Amigas for a while,” another person added, while one fan said the post was posted “too soon.”
“I think Shannon might be busy x,” someone else chimed in as another asked her to “read the room😂”.

Despite the backlash, many users suggested the post was timed in advance, which ironically happened after Beador’s arrest.
“An example of why scheduling your social media posts can sometimes NOT be the best thing! 🤣,” someone commented.
“Oh my god whoever is in charge of his social media is going to be fired,” another user wrote.
Gunvalson deleted the post 15 minutes after it was initially uploaded before reposting it an hour later. She has yet to address the incident and did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Promoting the Tres Amigas live show comes amid Beador’s arrest for drunk driving and a hit-and-run early Sunday, which Page Six confirmed.
TMZ was first to report the arrest on Monday, saying Beador crashed into a house in Newport Beach, Calif., on the night in question before fleeing the scene.
Police then allegedly found Beador, still intoxicated, walking his dog as if nothing had happened. His car was also reportedly parked in the middle of the street.
Following the news, her close friend and fellow Bravolebrity, Jeff Lewis, revealed that she was “ashamed” and was “going into counseling” this week.
“I’m happy to say she’s going into counseling this week, so I’m happy about that,” he said Monday on the episode of his SiriusXM show, “Jeff Lewis Live.”
Lewis went on to share that Beador called him after the accident and explained that she “accepted full responsibility,” adding that she was “ashamed” and “embarra*sed.”
“I don’t think Shannon is an alcoholic,” he continued. “I think as a close friend, I think she’s going through a lot of personal struggles right now, and I think she’s probably leaned into alcohol, but I don’t think she or an alcoholic.”
The “Flipping Out” star also claimed Beador was “injured” and “recovering” from a “car accident,” but he didn’t go into detail.
