Video shows security guard trying to protect Taylor Swift during Eras Tour concert: ‘Never noticed’

A fan-recorded video captures the desperate efforts of a security guard to protect Taylor Swift during her show.

Taken at her recent concert in Zurich, Switzerland, amid the US pop star’s massive tour across Europe, a male security guard was seen tailgating Swift whenever she moved across the nearly 250-foot stage.

With his eyes firmly fixed on the crowd, the security guard never once looked at Swift during the video uploaded to TikTok, but still managed to move in line with her, suggesting she had memorized her choreography instructions or was being fed information through an earpiece.

“I’ve never noticed her security guard following her around the stage like that,” one user wrote on X.

“Taysafety is paramount,” added another.

Another fan said they witnessed the same guard at another of Swift’s shows.

“I was in the front row of my show and he literally ran to keep up with her. It’s unbelievable the work his security is doing for his entire show,” they said.

“His intensity, concentration and observation, wild,” another viewer wrote on the video.

Another exclaimed, “His bodyguard doesn’t play and we love him for it!”

As one of the most famous people in the world right now, Swift is never without her security pack.

The “Cruel Summer” singer and her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, were spotted dancing to a crowd of thousands at Coachella in April.

As multiple videos of the pair hit social media, many commenters asked why the crowd-pleasers around them looked “bored” and weren’t “dancing”.

Of course, they weren’t actually punters.

Rather, Swift was surrounded by a heavy security team that took their work very seriously.

Previously, Kansas City Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt said there were strict protocols in place to ensure Swift’s safety at NFL games during his numerous outings to support Kelce through the end of 2023 and this year.

“Obviously, safety is an issue everywhere he goes,” Hunt said.

“It’s something we’ve helped his security team handle when he comes to games in Kansas City, and I know the visiting teams we’ve played this year where he’s been featured have had to do the same thing.

“He has a really talented security team. They contact our security team and we make sure we get him in and out of the stadium safely.”
