Where to watch the World Series: Yankees vs. Dodgers live stream, TV channel for Game 3, watch MLB without cable
NEW YORK – The Yankees vs. Dodgers Fall Classic moves to New York for Game 3 of the World Series on Monday night and it’s the first time a Fall Classic game has been played in the Big Apple since 2015 (when the Mets hosted the Royals). This is the Yankees’ first home game in the World Series since 2009, when they clinched the title in Game 6. The Dodgers enter Game 3 with a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series, but it’s by no means over.
Sure, the 2-0 team wins the World Series by a landslide, but the last time these two teams met in the World Series, the Dodgers overcame an 0-2 hole to win it. Additionally, Shohei Ohtani is suffering from an injury, although he is in the Dodgers lineup.

RHP Walker Buehler vs. RHP Clarke Schmidt
Buehler returned from Tommy John surgery this season and it was a pretty disastrous campaign for him, especially since he enters free agency after this series. He posted a 5.38 ERA and a -1.3 WAR. He also allowed six runs, all in one inning, in his NLDS start, but then bounced back with a pretty solid outing in Game 3 of the NLCS against the Mets. He only lasted four innings, but still: only three hits and no runs allowed, it’s a good start. He never faced the Yankees.
Schmidt posted a sparkling 2.85 ERA in his 16 regular season starts. However, he’s had a 4.50 ERA in his last four starts, so he’s not as reliable as he was early in the season. He allowed two runs in 4⅔ innings in his two playoff starts, coincidentally. He never faced the Dodgers.
Before continuing, I would like to point out that this process has been very successful for weeks. The finished LCS was 9-2 and Game 1 of the World Series was a success. However, that is not the case in Game 2, and we are faced with the reality that almost every other outcome of Freddie Freeman’s bat in the 10th inning of Game 1 meant a hit.
The room: Over 8 (-110)
I’m not discouraged! The attacks are much better than the pitchers in this series and Yoshinobu Yamamoto taking care of Game 2 doesn’t change anything. I think the Yankees are going to flip Buehler and, frankly, it doesn’t matter who pitches against the Dodgers at this point. This is an offense that seems to result in some crooked numbers.
Anyway, back to Buehler…
The room: Walker Buehler over 2.5 earned runs allowed (+120)
I love the silver positive on this one. And I think it’s possible that Buehler could get past the Yankees once without being seriously marked, but the second time around the Bronx Bombers are in for a treat. I have Buehler working four innings and giving up four runs, including a Juan Soto home run. Yes, jump on that one too, if you have a home run in you.
