Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles make a surprise appearance in Taylor Swift’s music video for “Fortnight.”

From tortured poets to dead poets.

“Dead Poets Society” actors Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles make a surprise appearance in the just-released music video for Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s song “Fortnight.”

“I still laugh from working with the coolest guys on the face of the Earth, Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles (The Tormented Poets, Meet Your Colleagues From Down the Hall, The Dead Poets),” Swift said. he wrote on Twitter Friday about cheeky cooperation.

Swift’s latest album, “Tortured Poets Oath,” has drawn comparisons to the 1989 film due to its similar titles and themes.

In the video, Hawke and Charles – along with Malone – play doctors who administer shock therapy to Swift after a “torturous” romance with the rapper.

“Post Malone blew me away on set as our tragic, tortured hero, and I’m so grateful to him for everything he brought to this collaboration,” the pop star gushed about the “Circles” wordsmith.

Swift explained that the video serves as a “background” for her latest collection of songs.

“Almost everything about it is a metaphor or reference to one corner of the album or another. For me, this video turned out to be the perfect visual representation of this record and the stories I tell in it.

The Grammy winner, 34, teased his music video debut with Malone, 28, in a series of videos shared on Instagram Thursday.

“In this session, I stand before my fellow members of the Tortured Poets section with a summary of my findings. The album is tonight. Two weeks music video tomorrow at 8pm ET,” she captioned the montage.

In the black-and-white clip, Swift appears wearing a black leather dress as she sits in front of a typewriter and writes phrases like “I love you” and “I love you.”

The clip then cut to Malone, who was also sitting at the typewriter. The “Lover” singer then cuddled up on a dock overlooking the water, his tattoos blurred out.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Swift stunned in a white strapless dress — similar to her look at the 2024 Grammy Awards — while throwing a chair into a gla*s window.

Just hours before sharing the teaser, the singer also announced that “Fortnight” will be the first single from her chart-topping album.

The first song from the Tortured Poets section is………… “Fortnight” featuring @postmalone 🤍 I’ve been a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experience and those melodies he creates that stick in your head forever She captioned a photo of the two of them.

The “loml” singer was thrilled to see “the magic come to life” while working with Malone and revealed that the video will be released at 8pm ET on Friday.

The entire “TTPD” album — plus a bonus album titled “The Anthology” — was released at midnight on Friday. Fans have already flooded social media to share their theories about her famously mysterious and meaningful lyrics.

In the song “Fortnight” alone, Swift hints that he once had a drinking problem.

“I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me / I was so addicted to alcohol that no one noticed my new beauty,” she sings.

The “All Too Well” singer also raised eyebrows when she seemingly addressed her breakup with both Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy in several songs.

Fans believe Swift wrote about Alwyn, 33, in the songs “So Long, London,” “loml” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

She has surprised many by apparently writing more songs about Hailey, 35, such as “Tortured Poets Oath,” “Down Bad,” “Chloe, Sam, Sofia, or Marcus,” “The Youngest Man Who Ever Lived,” and “I can fix it.” “He (I can’t really)” and “Guilty of sin?”

The “Valentine’s Day” star also stunned fans when she appeared to take aim at her old enemy Kim Kardashian with “thanK you aIMee” and former reality star Kanye West with “Ca*sandra.”

However, Swift focused on a brighter point in her life when she appeared singing about her current relationship with Travis Kelce in The Alchemy and So High School.
