Kaitlyn Clarke gushes over boyfriend Connor McCaffery as they celebrate after the 2024 WNBA Draft

Kaitlyn Clarke gave a sweet tribute to her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, on Monday night after the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Just hours after being named this year’s top pick by Indiana Fever, the record-breaking basketball star took to social media to share two black-and-white snapshots of her and her boyfriend embracing each other closely while celebrating the national holiday. Exciting news.

“My favorite person in the world,” Clark, 22, said of McCaffery, 25, on her Instagram Story.

Photos of the adorable couple were placed on the c**ktail table surrounded by mixed drinks at the party celebrating Clark’s ma*sive career move.

Clark — who just finished her final season with the Iowa Hawkeyes earlier this month — also made fashion history Monday night by becoming the first athlete, male or female, to wear Prada for the WNBA or NBA Draft.

She walked the red carpet in a tailored ensemble consisting of a cream skirt and matching jacket over a shiny silver bra.

Clarke also accessorized with clear sungla*ses, black shoes, and a matching purse from the Italian fashion house.

Earlier in the night, McCaffery publicly admired his girlfriend’s chic outfit on social media. He posted a drooling emoji in response to a fan who asked for his opinion on the look.

Clark is considered one of the greatest college athletes of all time after making history by scoring 3,951 points during her college basketball career with the Hawkeyes.

However, the athlete admitted she was “a bit anxious” before the draw night.

“I’ve dreamed of this moment since I was in second grade, and it took a lot of hard work, a lot of ups and downs, but more than anything, just trying to embrace it,” Clark said in an interview with ESPN.

The event began just over a week after the 2024 women’s NCAA championship game, which Clark and the Hokies lost 87-75 to the South Carolina Gamec**ks.

Although her team did not win the title this year, it broke another record when Iowa State’s Final Four game against Uconn became the most-watched basketball game in ESPN history with 12.3 million viewers.

The game was also the most watched women’s basketball game in the NCAA and the most watched college event of all time.

Clark’s friend — the son of Iowa State head coach Fran McCaffrey and Margaret McCaffrey — raved about the athlete throughout her final days of the season and called her “the GOAT” after her heartbreaking loss in Cleveland.

The two awkwardly launched their relationship via Instagram in August 2023 and have been packing the PDA ever since.
