  • LeBron James’ son has declared for the 2024 NBA draft and has also entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Brony James is the most famous college athlete and one of the main reasons for that would be her father, LeBron James. The 4x NBA champion has built a multi-billion dollar empire on the court and a beautiful family as well Bronnie is the oldest of her children, and she excels at basketball just like her father. The young star was playing for USC until a few weeks ago, and his recent decision has taken the internet by storm.

For those who don’t know, Broney declared for the 2024 NBA draft and entered the NCAA transfer portal at the same time. It is understood that the player must keep all his options available, and failure of one of them will not end his career.

His decision to declare for the draft received mixed reactions, as many noted that he was not ready for an intense league. Some have claimed that Broney could be a better professional player, as we’ve seen more excels in the world’s toughest basketball league than anywhere else.

NBA scouts believe Bronnie James was in play out position at USC

Brian Windhorst was one of the top insiders when it came to news and updates about King James. It wouldn’t be a big surprise to claim that she can stay up to date with all the news about her son as well. Recently, Windhorst spoke to NBA scouts about Brony’s situation and how USC did the player no favors. He averaged just 4.8 points for USC, along with 2.1 a*sists. (via ESPN)

Windhorst said on the Pat McAfee Show, “When I talked to scouts about Broney, they didn’t think he was able to put his best foot forward this year because USC couldn’t play him at his position. They had several different guard prospects, sorry, NBA draft prospects, and he kind of played on the wing. They said he had to play PG, which is where he played in high school and excelled.”

In addition, Windhorst claimed that NBA scouts are under the impression that college basketball might not be the right move for the player and that it might be more like the Summer League or even the G League. Additionally, the NBA insider noted that the NBA scouts he spoke with are still waiting for Broney to reveal his true potential as a guard rather than a wing.

Broney is reportedly more focused on the NBA draft than the NCAA transfer portal

Athletic representative Sam Veseni said, “At this point, James is expected to devote his energies to the NBA draft process in hopes of securing a selection at his and his father’s agency, Clutch Sports, multiple league sources told The Athletic. It is not clear if they have a pick or a specific team in mind. But what happens in the next few months before the May 29 withdrawal deadline is the plan for James.

It’s not a huge surprise that the player is looking to make his way into the league. The NBA can be a dangerous place where players who aren’t willing to work behind the scenes will fall behind the pack. But Bronny certainly looks like a man who is on a mission and could well and truly succeed in the future.
