Portia de Rossi wishes her ‘sweetest’ wife Ellen DeGeneres a happy 66th birthday with a gym montage

No days off.

Ellen DeGeneres celebrated her 66th birthday on Friday with an intense sweat session in the gym, which she documented by her wife Portia de Rossi on Instagram.

“My darling wife! You continue to amaze and inspire me,” exclaimed Rossi, 50.

“Happy birthday to the strongest, sweetest, brightest person I know. I am so lucky to be by your side as we share this incredible life together. I love you. 💕.”

The video begins with the former talk show host flexing her muscles with dumbbell shoulder presses.

“Are you saying that’s what 66 looks like?” Rossi – who has been married to DeGeneres since 2008 – teased.

The video then cuts to DeGeneres doing one-handed overhead presses, pull-ups and even pushing a workout sled.

She certainly felt the love on her birthday as her famous friends made sure to send her love on social media, including Kris Jenner, TV personality Kym Douglas, author Jay Shetty and some guests she’s had on her talk show over the years.

“Happy birthday to my best friend @ellendegeneres!! You are an incredible chicken wrestler, wife, friend, sister, daughter, and pickle ball champion! » Jenner, 68, has written a carousel of photos and videos with DeGeneres over the years.

“You are so kind, caring, caring, FUNNY, generous, smart, creative and so talented…and you really know your way around remodeling. »

She concluded, “I’m so lucky to have you in my life and I love you madly.”

The birthday girl appeared to be having a fun day outside of the gym and also had plenty of birthday wishes, as she took to her Instagram feed on Friday evening to share images of her pickleball-themed cake.

“It was a wonderful birthday. Thank you all for your sweet wishes and especially to my wife. 🤍,” she captioned the post.

DeGeneres also took to her gram to share a video of herself playing pickleball against Orlando Bloom.

“All I want for my birthday is to beat Orlando Bloom at pickleball. #OrlandoBloom,” she wrote.

She didn’t seem to be winning.

Perhaps she will have better luck on her 67th trip around the sun.
