Taylor Swift references Travis Kelsey’s catchy interview in ‘TTPD’ song ‘So High School’

Taylor Swift appears to be addressing Travis Kelce’s answers from 2016’s “Kiss, Marry, Kill” game in her new song “So High School.”

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared on “AfterBuzz TV” at the time and was asked to play with Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry.

“Damn, that’s messed up. “I don’t want to k**l any of them,” Kelsey, now 34, joked during the match. “Ariana, sorry, I love you, but you’re gone. And then Taylor Swift will be the kisser. And what is the last? Kate Berry? Yes, Katy Perry will be the one.”

The NFL star got his wish, as he’s been openly kissing Swift, also 34, since they started dating last summer, and now she’s singing about his answers on her latest album, Tortured Poets Oath: The Anthology.

“Are you going to marry me, kiss me, or k**l me? (Kill me),” she sings in the song. “It’s just a game, but really (really) / I’m betting three for us (three).”

She continues: “Bring my car door, isn’t that nice? (That’s nice) / Then drag me into the back seat (Back seat) / There’s never been anyone with me before, not like you.”

The second line may be a reference to the couple’s first public night out in October 2023 when they were photographed holding hands before Kelsey used his free hand to open the car door for his girlfriend.

During another segment of “So High School,” Swift makes a direct reference to Kelce’s professional football career.

“You know how to play ball/I know Aristotle,” she sings. “Brand new, full throttle / Teach me while your brothers play ‘Grand Theft Auto’ / That’s right, I swear, Scout’s honor. You knew what you wanted, and you got it, boy.”

Kelsey told the Wall Street Journal. The magazine said in November that dating Swift was “amazing” because of her “intelligence.”

“I was never a man of words,” he admitted. “Being around her and seeing how smart Taylor is is amazing. I’m learning every day.”
