Taylor Swift’s announcement was revealed at 2pm ahead of the release of ‘Tortured Poets Oath’.

Taylor Swift has revealed the lead single from her highly anticipated new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” exactly 10 hours before the record drops.

The “Cruel Summer” singer announced “Fortnight” — the album’s opening track featuring Post Malone — as the official first single on Thursday afternoon.

“I’ve been a huge fan of Post because of his writing, his musical experience, and those melodies he creates that stick in your head forever,” Swift wrote on Instagram. “I saw this magic come to life firsthand as we worked together in two weeks.”

The 34-year-old also revealed that she and Malone, 28, will be releasing a music video for the track at 8pm ET on Friday.

In a video posted to YouTube Shorts, Swift also hinted at something called the “For a Fortnight Challenge.” However, she did not share any further details about what it is.

Fans first caught wind of the announcement on Wednesday after the pop star quietly added a countdown to her website, which was scheduled to go off at 2 p.m. EST.

Behind the clock, the page — specifically labeled “For a Fortnight” — contained “TTPD” as well as Swift’s lucky number, “13,” in typewriter font.

Since announcing the release of her 11th studio album, Swift has been vaguely highlighting album No. 2 in her promotional content.

During the 2024 Grammy Awards, the “Anti-Hero” singer pointed to the number “two” on her fingers after revealing that she had been working on the record “for the past two years.”

Swift, the queen of leaving clues to her fans about future projects called “Easter eggs,” also used the same peace emoji In many of her social media uploads In recent months.

Fast forward to this week, the singer posted a video titled “TTPD Timeline” to her Instagram account, which featured several clocks set to two o’clock.

The animated video began in Swift’s “Midnights” room, where she was promoting her latest album. One of the walls was covered with four photos that the singer had previously published on October 22, 2022.

After leaving the “Midnight” room, the camera enters a white office with two desks and two typewriters.

There were also a number of clocks set to the same time on display at a Spotify pop-up store in Los Angeles, which was meticulously curated to reflect the themes on the album.

Since there are no coincidences in Swift’s verse, Swifties flocked to X to express their theories on why the singer confirmed the number.

“Why all 2,” one fan mused. “I know she’s been holding onto this for two years. Do we think there are two things being released??? A double album? The album and the book? It helps. I’m being tortured.”

Another suggested: “I think there will be a 2am version just like 3am in the middle of the night.”

“The Tortured Poets Section” will be published on Friday, April 19.
