The Donald Judd Foundation has filed a lawsuit against Kim Kardashian over her “counterfeit” furniture.

Kim Kardashian’s home decor has landed her in hot water.

The reality star-turned-mogul was sued by the estate of artist Donald Judd on Wednesday for allegedly pa*sing off “knock-offs” of Judd’s furniture as the real deal.

“These Donald Judd tables are really stunning and blend in perfectly with the seating,” Kardashian says in a since-deleted video tour of her Skkn by Kim office in 2022, showing off a selection of simple wood pieces that resemble two of Judd’s designs: the La Mansana 22 and chair 84.

According to the New York Times, the originals cost the artist $90,000 and $9,000 respectively.

But according to lawsuit documents obtained by Page Six Style, the 43-year-old “Kardashians” star used interior design firm Clements Design to outfit her office, with Judd’s organization claiming the company “manufactured and sold counterfeit copies” of Judd’s designs and then installed them. . Them in the star’s workspace.

The documents also allege that Clements Design used photos of the original Judd table and chairs in its proposal to the Skims founder, “to deceptively advertise that the work to be provided to Ms. Kardashian was licensed, original Donald Judd furniture.”

It also states that Kardashian fans and art enthusiasts alike “expect Ms. Kardashian to own and display authentic Donald Judd furniture—not fakes—and to have real—not false—endorsements from the celebrities, designers, or artists with whom Ms. Kardashian works.” Kardashian discusses work or is mentioned by name.

In a statement, Clements Design told Page Six Style that the foundation’s claims have “absolutely no merit.”

“This issue was brought to our attention more than a year ago. “We reached out to Judd Foundation advisors and explained in no uncertain terms that there were clear key differences between the tables and chairs in Kim’s office and the Judd Foundation tables and chairs,” the company says.

“The Judd Foundation’s former attorney acknowledged these differences, and since then, we have not heard from them in over a year, and we are now facing a lawsuit. Efforts were made to resolve this issue amicably at the time and the Judd Foundation was not willing to settle on reasonable terms.”

Meanwhile, Judd exclusively tells Page Six Style that she was “surprised” by the interior design firm’s claims that the two parties attempted to settle the dispute before filing it legally.

“The Judd Foundation has repeatedly tried to get clarification from Clements Design and Kim Kardashian on how and why counterfeit furniture was copied and promoted as authentic Donald Judd furniture,” the foundation tells us.

“The fact of the matter is that Clements Design sold Ms. Kardashian counterfeit versions of the Donald Judd La Mansana Table and the Donald Judd 84 Chair, using the copyrighted image of the Judd Foundation to do so. Ms. Kardashian then promoted the furniture as ‘Donald Judd’ to millions From her followers on social media.

The foundation claims that Clements Design “refused to take any steps to resolve this matter,” so it “reluctantly resorted to litigation in order to protect its intellectual property rights and the significance of Donald Judd’s timeless designs.”
